Quotation

Never in Christian history, within a Christian country, have Christian churches been on the receiving end of such naked brutality and violence as we are witnessing here in America today.

America the Beautiful, in God We Trust!

As I was checking my emails on last night, I noticed this particular one"JUDGE RAY MOORE-SISTER" It was from my Sister Efrances, she ask me if I would lift Judge Roy Moore up in prayer. The email stated that Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer. He has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama. The judge's poem sums it up quite well:

America the Beautiful, or so you used to be. Land of the Pilgrims' pride; I'm glad they'll never see.
Babies piled in dumpsters, Abortion on demand, Oh, sweet land of liberty; your house is on the sand.
Our children wander aimlessly poisoned by cocaine. Choosing to indulge their lusts, when God has said abstain.
From sea to shining sea, our Nation turns away from the teaching of God's love, and a need to always pray.
We've kept God in our temples, how callous we have grown. When earth is but His footstool, and Heaven is His throne.
We've voted in a government that's rotting at the core. Appointing Godless Judges who throw reason out the door.
Too soft to place a killer in a well deserved tomb, but brave enough to kill a baby before he leaves the womb.
You think that God's not angry, that our land's a moral slum? How much longer will He wait before His judgement comes?
How are we to face our God, from Whom we cannot hide? What then is left for us to do, but stem this evil tide?
If we who are His children, will humbly turn and pray; Seek His Holy face, and mend our evil way: Them God will hear from Heaven and forgive us of our sins. He'll heal our sickly land and those who live within.
But, America the Beautiful, if you don't - then you will see. A sad but Holy God withdraw His hand from thee.

After reading the poem, I prayed that Judge Moore will have comfort in the knowledge that Jesus is always with us. (Matthew 28:20).

Truly, we need more godly men to stand up and speak out to what is right. Not only do we need the word of God in our court rooms, but back in our homes, and schools.

You can pray for Judge Moore. He has stood firm and needs our support. Pass this on to others.

Are You Saying, "I do Believe; help my unbelief."

Just as Jesus asked the Demon-Possessed Boy's father in Mark 9;21, "How long has this been happening to him?" Jesus already knew how long, but He wanted the father to answer His question. God does for us, what we can't do for ourselves. Notice what the father said in verse 22b. Jesus, if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us! Verse 23, and Jesus said to him, "If you can?' All things are possible to him who believes."
Jesus' words do not mean that we can automatically obtain anything we want if we just think positively, Jesus meant that anything is possible if we believe, because nothing to too difficult for God. We must realize that we cannot have everything we pray for as it by magic; but with faith, we can have everything we need to serve Him.
The attitude of trust and confidence that the Bible calls belief or faith. Hebrews 11: 1,6 says, Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of thing not seen. And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Belief or faith is not something we can obtain without help.

Faith is a gift from God. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9. No matter how much faith we have, we never reach the point of being self-sufficient. Faith is not stored away like money in the bank. Growing in faith is a constant process of daily renewing our trust in Jesus.

We can trust God with our unbelief by putting our faith in Him.

Be Careful of The Morning After Pill

As I listen to the evening news, it was reported that a new pill is available or to become available soon. Called the Plan B, morning after pill. I was a little taken back for a moment, I was hearing, but not understanding clearly.
Immediately, the thought of Leviticus 17:11 says, for the life of the flesh is in the blood, and with that thought, came how Jesus shed Him own blood on the cross so that we can have life eternally.

I pray that young girls and women will not open the door to satan's knock, when he
comes to enter your mind with such offer as a new pill, planB. Instead of letting him in. Cry out to Jesus Christ, and ask Him to remove the evil thought from your mind. So you want be the victim, but the victor.
I Samuel 8: 19-20. Israel was called to be a holy nations, separate from and unique among all others (Leviticus 20:26). The Israelites' motive in asking for a king was to be like the nations
around them. This was in total opposition to God's original plan. It was not their desire for a king that was wrong, but their reasons for wanting a king.
Often we let others' values and actions dictate our attitudes and behavior. Have you ever made a wrong choice because you wanted to be like everyone else? Be careful that the values of your friends or "hero" don't pull you away from what God says is right. When God's people want to be like unbelievers, they are heading for spiritual disaster.

Parent, it's so important that we disciple our daughters.

5 Ways GOD Uses Problems In Our Lives

My daughter sent me an insightful email yesterday. As I was reading it, I began to meditate on the words and I thought about how God has used problems in my own life to direct, inspect, protect and perfect me. I pray as you go through your problems, you will be encouraged by these words:

1. God uses problems to DIRECT you. Sometimes God must light a fire under you to get you moving. Problems often pointus in a new direction and motivate us to change. Is God trying to get your attention? "Sometimes it takes a painful situation to make us change our ways." Proverbs 20:30

2. God uses problems to INSPECT you. People are like tea bags...if you want to know what's inside them, just drop them into hot water! Has God tested your faith with a problem? What do problems reveal about you? "When you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy, because you know that these troubles test your faith, and this will give you patience,"
James 1:2-3

3. God uses problems to CORRECT you. Some lessons we learn only through pain and failure. It's likely that as a child your parents told you not to touch a hot stove. But you probably learned by being burned. Sometimes we only learn the valueof something....health, money, a relationship.... by losing it. "It was the best thing that could have happened to me, for it taught me to pay attention to your laws." Psalm 119:71-72

4. God uses problems to PROTECT you. A Problem can be a blessing in disguise if it prevents you from being harmed by something more serious. Last year a friend was fired for refusing to do something unethical that his boss had asked him to do His unemployment was a problem - but it saved him from being convicted and sent to prison a year later when management'sactions were eventually discovered. "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good"... Genesis 50:20

5. God uses problems to PERFECT you. Problems, when responded to correctly, are character builders. God is far more interested in your character than your comfort. Your relationship to God and your character are the only two things you're going to take with you into eternity. "We can rejoice when we run into problems... they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady." Romans 5:3-4

Here's the point: God is at work in your life - even when you do not recognize it or understand it. But it's much easier and profitable when you cooperate with Him.

"Success can be measured not only in achievements, but in lessons learned, lives touched and moments shared along the way."

Are you sneezing?

Late Summer and Fall Allergies

If you have allergies, cooler temperatures, mold, wet leaves, and ragweed- the number one fall pollen - can make autumn just as troublesome as spring for you.

A few tips to help reduce the sneezing and increased sinus infections associated with fall allergies:
  • If possible, stay indoors between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when pollen counts are highest.
  • Wash bedding weekly in hot water, and dry laundry indoors.
  • Wear a mask when you mow the lawn, rake leaves, or work outdoors.
  • Clean your furnace air filters before you start heating your home.
  • Shower and wash your hair before you go to bed. Pollen can collect on your skin and hair during the day.

Our Children

Lord, save our children, save our youth,
my troubled soul cries today.
Look at what they're becoming and doing.
So far from you they do stray.

I can save the children and the youth too,
our Lord to me answered back.
I am the Almighty, All-knowing God-
Able to rescue all from Satanic attack.

But I choose to work through people.
The Church is my instrument on earth.
Whom can I send? Who will go for us;
To bring these young ones to new birth?

Lord, send a revival. Please send a revival.
Revive your Church, I do pray.
For we've drifted away from the foundation laid.
So very far from your heart are we today.

Give me your life for the children and youth,
Our Lord requested of me.
I'll use you to nurture these seedlings with care.
Psalm 1 trees they yet can be.

It's good to know one, but better to know both

"If you don't know jewelry, know the jeweler". A quote from Warren Buffet.

My quote is: If you don't know the Father, God, know the Son, Jesus.
The Father gave the Son. The Son gave His life, shedded His own blood on
the old rugged cross for our sin.
You need to know and believe by faith that the Son, Jesus Christ died for our
sins according to the scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was
raised on the third day according to the scriptures (I Corinthians 15:3-4).

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotton Son, that whoever
believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life (John 3: 16) .
You probably had heard this passage of scripture over and over again.
Maybe read it for yourself. Do you believe it? It's true. You can put your
faith and trust in Him, you will not be disappointed.

To "believe" is more than a head knowledge agreement that Jesus is God.
It means to put our trust and confidence in Him that He alone can save us.
It is to put Christ in charge of our present plans and eternal destiny.
Believing is both trusting His words as reliable, and relying on Him for
the power to change. If you have never trusted Christ, let this promise
of everlasting be yours- and believe.

God the King

The Lord is King.
He is clothed with majesty and strength.
The earth is set firmly in place, and cannot be moved.
Your throne, O Lord, has been firm from the beginning,
and you existed before time began.
The ocean depths raise their voice, O Lord;
they raise their voice and roar.
The Lord rules supreme in heaven, greater than the roar of
the sea.
Your testimonies are fully confirmed;
Holiness befits Your house,
O Lord, forevermore. Psalm 93.

The key to God's eternal reign is His holiness. God's glory is seen not only in His strength but in His perfect moral character as well. God will never do anything that is not morally perfect. This reassures us that we can trust Him; yet it places a demand on us.
Our desire to be holy (dedicated to God and morally clean) is our only suitable response. We must never use unholy means to reach a holy goal because God says,
"You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy" (Leviticus 19: 1-2).

Count The Cost Before Making a Vow to God

How can we understand the road we travel? It is the Lord who directs our steps. It is dangerous to make a rash promise to God before counting the cost. Proverbs 20:24-25.

We are often confused by the events around us. Many things we will never understand; others will fall into place in years to come as we look back and see how God was working. This proverb tell us not to worry if we don't understand everything as it happens. Instead, we should trust that God knows what he's doing, even if His timing or design is not clear to us. See Psalm 37:23 for a reassuring promise of God's direction in your life.
To say something is holy means to dedicate it, to give it as an offering to God. Dedicated means set apart for religious use. This proverb points out the evil of making a vow rashly and then reconsidering it. God takes vows seriously and requires that they be carried out(Deuteronomy 23:21-23).And oftentimes we have good intentions when making a vow because we want to show God that we are determined to please Him. Jesus, however, says it is better not to make promises to God because He knows how diffcult they are to keep (Matthew 5:33-37).If you still feel it is important to make a vow, make sure that you weigh the consequences of breaking that vow. (This is just of the Bible people who made rash vows, Judges 11:30-39.) Jephthah made a vow to offer to the Lord whomever came out to meet him after battle (it turned out to be his daughter).the result,he lost his daughter.

Are You To Busy?

Guess what? If you have not thanked GOD for waking you up this morning, and watching over
you last night. Just maybe you're a little to busy. Could it be that you have to much on your plate?
Take a look, remove something off of your plate. Replace it with a thank you LORD for keeping me.

We're living in the "last days"

But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 Timothy 3:1.

Paul's reference to the "last days" reveals his sense of urgency. The last days began after Jesus' resurrection when the Holy Spirit came upon the believers at Pentecost. The "last days" will continue until Christ's second coming. This means that we are living in the last days. So we should make the most of the time that God has given us. (Ephesians 5:16 Colossians 4:5).

His Word Reveal His Greatness

The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are true; they are righteous altogether.
They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.
Moreover, by them Your servant is warned;
In keeping them there is great reward. Psalm 19:7-11.

When we think of the word of God, we often think of something that keeps us from having fun. But here we see the opposite-the word of God revives us, makes us wise, gives joy to the heart, gives light to the eyes, warns us, and rewards us. That's because God's words are guidelines and lights for our path, rather than chains on our hands and feet. They point at danger and warn us, then point at success and guide us.
