Are you sneezing?
Late Summer and Fall Allergies
If you have allergies, cooler temperatures, mold, wet leaves, and ragweed- the number one fall pollen - can make autumn just as troublesome as spring for you.
A few tips to help reduce the sneezing and increased sinus infections associated with fall allergies:
- If possible, stay indoors between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when pollen counts are highest.
- Wash bedding weekly in hot water, and dry laundry indoors.
- Wear a mask when you mow the lawn, rake leaves, or work outdoors.
- Clean your furnace air filters before you start heating your home.
- Shower and wash your hair before you go to bed. Pollen can collect on your skin and hair during the day.
