Sin Has Consequences
Because God does not punish sinners instantly, people feel it is safe to do wrong.
But though a man sins a hundred times and still lives, I know very well that those who fear God will be better off (Ecclesiastes 8: 11-12).
If God doesn't punish us immediately, we must not assume that He doesn't care or that sin has no consequences, even though it is easy to sin when we don't feel the consequences right away.
When a young child does something wrong, and the wrong is not discovered, it will be much easier for the child to repeat the act.
But God knows every wrong we commit, and one day we will have to answer for all that we have done.
