Full Surrender

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom 2 Corinthians 3:17.


If you're a person who thinks by keeping the Old Testament law, rules and testimonies that you'll make it into heavan. But now, through the Holy Spirit, God provides freedom from sin and condemnation. Romans 8:1 says, therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. So if the spirit of the Lord is within us, there is freedom from the conflict between the conscious and the subconscious. Why do so many live out their lives in conflict? Because they have never appropriated the power and presence of the Spirit available to them and channeled Him into the deeper regions of their personality through self-surrender. God, Christ, or the Holy Spirit will never barge their way into any area of the personality. They come in when we put up the welcome sign of surrender and, by a conscious act, agree to their residing and presiding within us.

Are you one of those Christians that says with the conscious mind, "I surrender all," and yet with the subconscious say, I want some areas for myself? Make up your mind. He (Holy Spirit) must have our entire being. When we trust Christ to save us, he removes our heavy burden of trying to please him and our guilt for failing to do so. By trusting Christ we are accepted, loved, forgiven, and freed to live for Him. "Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."
