You are Now Free to Come to God Through Christ

AND HE CAME AND PREACHED PEACE TO YOU WHO WERE FAR AWAY, AND PEACE TO THOSE WHO WERE NEAR;
For through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father (Ephesians 2: 17-18).

The Jews were near to God because they already knew of Him through the Scriptures and worshiped Him in their religious ceremonies. The Gentiles were far away because they knew little or nothing about God. Because neither group could be saved by good deeds, sincerity, or knowledge, both needed to hear about the salvation available through Jesus Christ. both Jews and Gentiles are now free to come to God through Jesus Christ. You have been brought near to Him (Ephesians 2: 13).
