Broken Relationships

Therefore if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering (Matthew 5:23-24).

We're to obey God's Word. Broken relationships can hinder our relationship with God. I don't want to be without His goodness. Do you? If we have a problem or grievance with a friend, or family member, we should resolve the problem as soon as possible. If we don't we are hypocrites if we claim to love God while we hate others. Our attitudes toward others reflect our relationship with God(1 John 4:20).

Believers Are Dead to Sin, Alive to God

Romans 6: 8-10 says, "Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.

Because of Christ's death and resurrection, his followers need never fear death. That assurance frees us to enjoy fellowship with him and to do his will. This will affect all your activities-work and worship, play, Bible study, prayer meeting, quiet times, and times of caring for others. When you know that you don't have to fear death, you will experience a new vigor in life.
